How can I successfully fabricate a film on a large area?
First, to ensure an even spread of the solution on the substrate surface, the metal complex must be dissolved in a solvent such that no suspensions such as granular solids remain in the metal complex. However, most of the functional metal oxides do not dissolve in common solvents. Professor Mitsunobu Sato of Kogakuin University conducted research and discovered that the change in materials when heated in air results in the formation of transparent films. This led to the design and use of coordination compounds as precursors. Thus far, more than 30 transition elements have been studied and their nanometer-thick (nm) films have been successfully fabricated. Therefore, the molecular precursor method is a new key technology for supporting future nanotechnology. In addition, the characteristics of our thin films were also analyzed, studied, and were found to be defect-free.Furthermore, nanocrystalline-size powder was fabricated, which is a significant contribution to the development of new materials.
Our company develops and sells molecular precursor solutions. Our aim is to fabricate films that are highly responsive to light and are helpful to medical fields that use molecular precursor solutions.
